Happy new year to everybody, with health, happiness and prosperity.People that have been reading our forums, already know that the new versions of FLEXIcontent for both J1.5 and J1.7 (/2.5) are near completion and use them already.
(particullarly v1.5.6 RC2a for J1.5 is very stable, and v2.0 RC2a for J1.7 has a very small number of known bugs)The list of new features, enhancements and bugfixes is a really long one. The number of defect issues for both old and new features is now becoming very short. Moreover we decided to delay final releases a little longer in order to update and test the J1.7 version so that it works in J2.5 too. Because of the delay a few more features will make it in final releases that we meant for v1.5.7 and v2.1
The new versions bring more intuitive interface, more functionality, more templates, a powerful universal module, author management, a new advanced search view, import capability, new fields, existing fields improvements, routing/sef improvements, and a very long list of small to medium enhancements and bug fixes !!!

This new release doesn’t introduce major changes in terms of features except multiple bug fixes and performance improvements as well as compatibility with the full FLEXIcontent new frontend submit/edit feature. In order to use FLEXIaccess with FLEXIcontent 1.5.3 you’ll need this new 1.0.5 release because there’s a new method to filter the frontend permissions.
FLEXIaccess is now FULLY compatible with the excellent Akeeba backup component from my friend Nicholas. -

In this release, I tried to summarize most of the user feedbacks and improvement suggestion to add them inside. Some new method in the system plugin where focused on performance and the most significant change is the new admin menu that is perfectly adapted to FLEXIaccess rules and that will allow you to build fully custom user interfaces for your clients.
