memory limit? was created by yaelkroy
Hello,

We are interested in FLEXContent module and decided to try it before buy. But we have failed to import articles into FLEXContent since it gives the following error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 1073741824 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2203459 bytes) in/var/www/html/transgender.ru/public_html/libraries/joomla/database/driver.phpon line 1638

joomla php settings gives memory_limit = 1024M

What can it be?

Thank you in advance,
Yael

Hello

even if you have 500,000 articles you should need this memory in any FLEXIcontent view,

the most demanding is the relation field in item form e.g. 150 MB in large sites

some other extensions in relation to FLEXIcontent maybe causing this ?

you may send me a PM with access

since you get this error
if are you trying to do it in a copy (duplicate) web-site of the live one, it would be best

Hello

found the problem, binding works now,
peak memory usage during is about 35-40 MBytes,

Reason for the problem:
-- to save time e.g. in very large websites 100,000 + articles we are using a single SQL query to bind 100 articles

(e.g. 1000 articles per HTTP call and then 100 articles per SQL query call)

On your website:
-- the SQL query for binding was about 2.1 MBytes and your server has MySQL packet size 2MBytes

-- this a bug/issue on FLEXIcontent , will commit a fix (next FC version) if the SQL query length comes close to max_allowed_packet we will add less articles to the single SQL query

if come to same problem on a different installation, please increase MySQL.max_allowed_packet

Hello,

I looked at the site and noticed that something wrong with articles module. It does not display content. I am sure it is after binding. E.g. this article was done with FlexContent module but there is no body of article even in editor.
