Hi,

Solved - I fixed in the post below.

Does the prefix show in the admin form?

It displays on the frontend but not in the backend. Am using FLEXIcontent 3.0.7 and default ISIS template.

The other thing I was thinking about was away to specify a class for a field. Eg xx-large or xs-small like ISIS currently does for Joomla articles - that way we could set the size more easily.

Thanks,

Robert

I think the better solution is to use input masks:

For 33mm - this seems to work well:
Code:
'alias': 'numeric', 'rightAlign': false, 'allowMinus': false, 'allowPlus': false, 'suffix': ' mm'

cool => can you give link for a little faq ?

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hi Micker,

I looked here for an overview:
github.com/RobinHerbots/jquery.inputmask

Answer to someone else's question:
stackoverflow.com/questions/27831630/add...to-jquery-input-mask

One thing to watch is don't set the Server-Side validation to Integer or it will strip the mm.

Hello

i think we should add configuration parameter for this

usualy we do not want the prefix or suffix to be part of the value , and stored into the DB
right ?

also slowly more fields will be using layouts for
- item form (tmpl/field_LAYOUTNAME.php)
- item viewing (tmpl/value_LAYOUTNAME.php)

so a custom layout file can be an alternative too

Hello

please see my answer above

also consider that
- prefix and suffix parameter for item form,

should be different parameters than
- prefix / suffix in item view,

because in many cases these would not be the same,
