About using item ordering numbers in Tag views

Hi,
I have a tag view with items that are assigned to multiple categories. How can I manually order the items in the view? I can see many options in the menu item settings but it is not possible to order the items manually.

we could add ordering when you filter by a tag in items manager,
same thing like we do when we filter by a category

- the ordering numbers would be save to the Tag_ID - Item_ID relations Database Table

But we are going to convert our tags to Joomla tags,
probably the conversion, is not a problem,

and we could keep that old table and use it to store the orderings

I guess that we be a good option. At the end categories and tags are somehow the same or interchangeable (at least of pure Joomla) when it comes to displaying articles. Also the existing option "Category Ordering" in the tag view menu item setting is misleading or without any effect!
