Date range field ? How to ?

Hello everybody,
I have a question for something i would like to achieve.
In FC, i can create fields with date and filter it with Universal module.
I would like to do this.
For a content, type a name of action, a start date, a end date. This can be done for one content x times (i can't know in advance how many action i can have in one content).
Then, how can i achieve this ?
Somewhere, it could be think as a "event field" like in Calendar. Is this possible with Flexicontent and how ?
At the end, i would like to have in the search form the field with something like :
- all the content with an action today
- all the content with an action in the next 7 days.
I know i can achieve this by typing each date separatly but this is not very handy and efficient...

In the universal content module, i know how to filter content, the question is not here. I want to know if there is a way to get a range field associated with a "description" field (like an event field in other component like "Calendars") and how to use it.

sorry i don't understand range field + description ...

I give you an example.
Try to imagine i have in type "Spectacles".
For each "spectacles", i have multiple dates and places.
Example :
"Spectacle 1"
- Lyon "Learn to use Flexicontent" - from 10/02/2017 to 13/03/2017
- Paris "Improve your Flexicontent website" - from 15/05/2017 to 20/05/2017
- Madrid "The templates in Flexicontent" - from 22/06/2017 to 24/06/2017

So you have a "description" (places and action here but it can be anything in fact), a start date, a end date.
I have then a description associated with a start and end date.
Keep in mind there can exist many contents with same date on different action.

Try to imagine now : i have a person looking for what is happening the next 16/05/2017. How can i use the fields to make this working as i can create a field for a start date, another one for a end date, another one for the description but it's going to be very hard to make all the field corresponding in a single content.
In the same time, i cannot use a single field to put all this or i loose the possibility to search on dates....
