Search content of PDF files

Hi,

Using flexifilter, can you please let me know if it's possible to search inside a PDF ?

Currently, I can only fine the name of my PDF, not the content.

Another question about this : I have a pdf file named "test_number_2".
When I made a search on "test_number" I do not find my file.
When I made a search on "test" I find my file.

Is there a limitation with the underscore ?

Hello

Click "Configuration" to access component configuration parameters

Go to "Files" TAB / "Basic" TAB

Index PDF files (enable this)
Index CSV files

Mark your file field as "Searchable"
Go to backend "Search" manager and click to rebuild search indexes

Almost all PDF files are supported except some encrypted ones

I did what you wrote, but it only search on the name of the pdf, not in the content.

Is it possible to search the content of the file ?

Hello

with that option enabled the text inside PDF contents is read

and it is added in the search indexes

when you re-index the search indexes
did you see a message in them about "indexing PDF files" ?

- double check that you had all steps i mentioned above-
- try more PDF files or some non encrypued PDF files
