Allowing users to 'save as copy' only was created by JeffH

Hi

I would like authorised users to be able to save an existing item (article) as a copy only. That is, they can not edit an existing item, only edit it so as to save as a new item. Can 'edit' be disabled on an item and only 'save as copy' allowed?

i think you can hide button by css ?

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello

it is a basic security check,
an item can be copied only if a user can edit an item

currently there is no option to disable this requirement

also the "batch copy" task check and require edit privilege on the item
