it is not related to FLEXIcontent version or to FLEXIcontent itself
all filters are lost in any view view,
e.g. go to Joomla plugin manager and set some filters,
then
- either navigate to some other views e.g. menus and then back to plugins
- or edit a plugin, and click cancel,
you will see that filters are lost there too
They are lost in all backend managers

I have setup a new Joomla installation and ran this script:

This a bug (or some in the Joomla forum say feature) introduced with Joomla 3.6.3. Actually in my case 3.6.4. It can happen on pages that have a long history (my page was originally built with Joomla 1.5).
I updated both, Joomla and FC, at the same time, so I thought it is FC causing the problem. Yesterday I realized that I have many more problems link that I could not work in module manager.
Anyway, I took a clean Joomla installation, ran the script, installed all components and imported the old database. Now I have a fresh Joomla installation and everything is running as it should. Sorry for causing unnecessary effort for you!
