I tried to import more than 10,000 contents, and got some problems.
1. Create/Update
- When all contents are 'Create', it's no problem to choose 'Create'.
- When all contents are 'Update', it's no problem to choose option 'Create / Update'.
- When there are both 'Create' and 'Update' contents, the importing will break.
In my situation, first 10 are 'Create', and last 2 are 'Update'. I choose the option 'Create / Update'. The fist 10 importing is good, but stop at creating 11.
What I've done is separate the 'Create' and 'Update' contents, then I did import twice.
2. State
The 'State' column seems useless. There are state values in my file (1 for published and 0 for unpublished). I choose the option 'Use state Column'. After I imported the file(update), the state of all items became unpublished.
3. Tags
It's ok to import tags. But when there is no tags value in the file, I choose the option 'Do not import tags'. After imported the file(update), the tags of all items are cleared. Is it OK to add a option to ignore update tags when update items? I think it's reasonable to keep the tags when users just want to update some other fields.
When I do import, the file is passed the checking, all data are showed correctly. But the state column is not showed. So I think my file should be OK.
Here are some problems I found now.
