Hello,
I’ve been using Flexicontent for 3 years, and I like it a lot, thank you for this huge amount of work.
I’m sorry because I noticed my question has been asked a thousand times, but none of the fixes suggested is working.

I’m currently developping a website on local server with J 3.7.4. I recently updated FC from 3.1.1 to 3.2.1.7 and the required fields don’t behave correctly in frontend item form any more, that is, you can save the form with empty « required » fields. They worked fine with FC 3.1.1.
I have no tabs in my form, no override in menu link, and I'm using a basic template at this time, so I’m quite puzzled.

Thank you in advance for any advice !
Corinne

Hello

if you can save the form without the required fields

then this usually means that the form validation handler is not run because it was not registered due to a JS error during page loading

the JS error is usually due to a JS issue in some 3rd party extension

1. click F12 to open "browsers" tools (better user firefox browser for this)
2. go to "Consode" TAB
3. refresh the item form (via F5)
4. at leasrt 1 JS error (you may ignore warnings) should appear there

Thank you for your quick answer !
I checked the console and got only a warning (see picture attached).
But, since you mentionned a possible conflict with third party, I tried to disable the Acymailing subscription module I have on the sidebar, and the required fields of the item form then performed as expected.
So... what next ?

Regards,
Corinne

I did. No improvement (I will keep protostar anyway for the final website, except for css enhancement)
