change select2.js-version? was created by kath

hi there,

[my question]
can i change the version of select2.js, that is used by FLEXIcontent?
if not, can i load a second select2 /after/ the version loaded by FC somehow?

[details]
i would like to use select2 version 4 because of it's better "data"-option.

i might have solved it:
1) i loaded my other select2-version using $doc->addScript("//cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/select2/4.0.0/js/select2.min.js");
2) i used the joomla-system-plugin "jQuery Easy" strip flexicontent's version of that script, identiying it by its path "/components/com_flexicontent/librairies/select2/select2.min.js"
so far that seemst to work without pitfalls...

Hello

depending on the new version there are a number of changes,

we have upgraded it 2 or 3 times, in one cases the changes were a lot, and needed several changes to JS and CSS code to be able to use the new version

you might have broken something,

we will update to select2 JS v4 in FLEXIcontent v3.1

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
