[CHECK for LANGUAGE FILE errors] Language Override in Select Box - Labels not changing

More

I've created a select box dropdown menu for filtering content in category view. We are running a bilingual site that requires those values change according to current language. I've created all the language overrides in Joomla, and placed the constants in the drop down field (see attached image), but no values are showing... the dropdown filter just shows the constants.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Hello

there is no code to turn language filtering OFF

most common reason for this is that there is a syntax error in the language file,
usually a misclosed DOUBLE quote

- in Joomla Global configuration , enable "Language Debug"
then go and load the item form and then scroll down to find slider:
**Parsing errors in language files**

please check and post back here

Thanks so much for the quick reply. This is what I'm getting for debug:

(s) in line(s) 1

Mean anything to you?

Hello

output should be like:

JROOT\administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.MYFILE.ini : error(s) in line(s) 143, 145, 147, 149, 151, 153

meaning that the file has the first error at 143 or before that

Okay, I got a more reasonable log that time:

JROOT/language/overrides/en-GB.override.ini : error(s) in line(s) 1

I will look in the file for something, but its not likely the error is before line 1... little confused still

I looked into the error... on oine 1 and it was just a left over test override I had forgot about. Deleted it, and now I get no errors at all, but my overrides are still not appearing in my text select box.
