381 Adding language strings that are missing / appear in english /documentation/tutorials-english/74-languages1/381-adding-language-strings-that-are-missing-appear-in-english.html
E.G. you want to translate to Portuguese
  1. Install Portuguese package:
(this is a temporary download link)
    http://www.by-creationnumerique.com/langues-pour-flexicontent/1/project.html
  2. If some strings appear in english
(=they exist only in english language file)
either Use "Localise component" or "Missing-T component" to add a translation
    or add translation manually
    • view the english language file:
      administrator/languages/en-GB/en-GB.com_flexicontent.ini
    • Search for (first try with quotes in your search but case insensitively, and then if you do not find it search without quotes):
e.g. search for value "Content Type"
    • Copy the language string into the Portuguese file
      administrator/languages/pt-PT/pt-PT.com_flexicontent.ini
and change the value (after =) to have the Portuguese translation

  3. If you do not like the translation OR you want to have a custom translation that will not be overwritten when you upgrade FLEXIcontent,
then you may use Joomla language overrides:
    (
NOTE 1: the language override will find strings only for installed translations (=language files exist) )
(NOTE 2: For item form switch to Portuguese Administrator not to Portuguese Site
-- Search for strings (without quotes) and create the Joomla language override
