How to Manage Author

The author tab is meant
  1. to manage authors (users) and list info about them and their items
    You could say that
    - item's manager TAB already has filter per user
    - and statistics TAB has totals items of user
    But Authors tab has more INFO AND FILTERS and makes it more easy to manage authors.
  2. to provide a way to configure a frontend end "author view", this is implemented via the category view. The author management allows to define "category parameters" for the author
  3. You can assign 3 options for present an author's avatar:
    -- (a) a FLEXIcontent item (already implemented)
    -- (b) the Joomla contancts details (NOT implemented yet)
    -- (c) the user profile of the community builder or other similar components (NOT implemented yet)
  4. Will add an AUTHOR list in the frontend that (NOT implemented) that will:
    -- (a) open joomla contact details/CN user profile in a modal popup window
    -- (b) link to author items
