Tagged items cannot be listed because tag id is not set 03-21-2021

I keep getting the following error.

404 Tagged items cannot be listed because tag id is not set

I created a menu item for Tagged Items (Category View) and enabled it in the FLEXIContent Configuration as a default menu item.

Everything else in FLEXIContent works fine.  This is the only thing that I have a hard time figuring it out (it's got to be something simple).

Does anyone have an answer on how to fix this?

the purpose of creating this menu item
is so that the tag-links will use this menu item

and this menu item is not supposed to be opened by itself
- typically it should be created inside a menu that is not shown
- or make the menu item hidden

trying to open this menu item directly make no sense as it does not point to any specific menu item

 

Ah... I understand now.  Thank you for explaining it so clearly.

Actually, it is hidden, but I made a Menu Alias that linked to it.  I will remove my Menu Alias since it's supposed to stay hidden.
