Search Results [DISPLAY ANY Flexicontent FIELD]

Is there any way to view the search results in whatever template I have made for my items? For instance, when you click on a category in the frontend, it shows these 4 items: screencast.com/t/iRlscvcl in a nice 4 column view and showing the image I uploaded for each item. However, when I search for an item, little info is given in search results. Is there anyway to replicate this view so it shows the fields I want?

I think, the ability to display Flexicontent fields, has been requested before at some post.

You are very lucky because i needed this, this involved quite some work that i have already started by implementing a new function inside file: flexicontent.fields.php
Today i spent a few hours to find what is needed to do this. First you need to make a template override of com_search. (Please read what is template override in joomla)
[attachment=0:1we3se3x]<!-- ia0 -->custom_fc_search.zip<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:1we3se3x]
1. Inside your Joomla Template create folder:
templates/mytemplate/html/com_search/search/
inside this folder place the file default_results.php for the attached file.
2. Also Replace the components/com_flexicontent/classes/flexicontent.fields.php
with the one in the attached file (for latest 1.5.6 beta).
3. Add the fields you want and place them appropriately, also you can remove the things you don't want like item title, etc ...

Note: Also if you use mod_flexicontent module, then you need to get the latest from SVN, otherwise the mod_flexicontent will not work.

Regards

Looks good! Only thing I can't get to show is the image fields and file field (where they would download file I uploaded). screencast.com/t/cr6apjXH

Yes that shows those fields now. Thanks. The fields are not responding though to the access level. I have the file download field to only show to registered users. But in the search result, it shows. Is there any way for fields to respond to what access level they are set at?

Also, since uploading the new flexicontent.fields.php file, when viewing an item detail page, I just get this error on a white page:

Fatal error: [] operator not supported for strings in /home/test/public_html/old/plugins/flexicontent_fields/core.php on line 145

When I use the old flexicontent.fields.php file, I see the normal page but of course then the search plugin gets all sorts of errors.
