Has anyone experience with Josetta?

Hi, I am still struggling with the multilingual features of Joomla 2.5. The in-built system is not usable for larger pages and it seems that enhancements are not planned for Joomla 3 (it seems that mobile view is the only thing the core team is talking about at the moment).

Falang is not really an option for me because I don't like their business model (taking JoomFish for free and selling it). JoomFish seems to work but as even as a moderator in the JoomFish forum I do not know how the future looks like. And I tried the latest JoomFish version with FC and it does not work.

To cut a long story short. Has somebody used Josetta? Does it work with FlexiContent? It seems like a very good extension because it uses the in-built translation system.

Well multiligual usability is important for FLEXIcontent,

about Josseta, we will examine in future if changes are needed to allow smooth interoperability between FLEXIcontent and it (i speak mainly for FLEXIcontent items)

about Joomfish for J2.5
is it stable?

about Falang, FLEXIcontent already has code for editing all J1.5 Joomfish OR J2.5 Falang item translations in a single TABBED form, but this is needed to be enabled for J2.5, maybe changes are minor but did have time to enable this yet

Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

I played around with it a little bit. It uses the Joomla multilanguage system. So, for example during translated the category is copied and Josetta handles the relation between the categories. Same for items, menus and so on.

No. I believe that Alex Kempkens the lead developer of JoomFish is currently not working on it but there is another developer that took over. Situation is similar to FlexiContent :D . What I know is that a fellow moderator form the forum is using the Alpha 2 version on productive sites and claims that it is working great.

To answer my question: yes, well partly. I have installed the first JoomFish Beta from github and I am able to switch languages and translate items, categories and modules. Only if I want to translate menu items I am receiving the following error:
Code:
Fatal error: Cannot assign by reference to overloaded object in /.../htdocs/libraries/joomfish/form/jfformfield.php on line 47

Do you think it is JoomFish or FlexiContent related?

Actually i am surprised that other stuff worked,

i need to test it , for another reason:

-- FLEXIcontent maps items translations together via its own DB table,
-- Joomfish maps items translations together via its own DB table,

so we need to synchronize these tables via a FLEXIcontent post installation task

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
