Can not map translation to item created by other users

Hi,

after creating the english version of items, a colleague is doing the translation of these items. Some where already existing so we just need to map them to each other.

But when i click on the "Click to Select" button for "Original content being translated", it shows only items that i created, but not the ones created by other users.

I looked around the settings of categories, global settings etc. but i can not see where there is something to set.

Any idea how to solve that issue?

Yes another member mentioned this,

there are 2 kind of sites , e.g. those that have content item "owners" and those that content items that are translated by different people.

So we need a parameter for this, better placed in the language parameters:

oooops! i will then have to explain that to my client. it's important in a situation where different users are taking care of content and translation.

Is that something faisable in a near future or release? cause that is a limitation in that regards.

The limitation was put deliberately, i have suggested a temporary hack( to remove this limitation) in this forum before,


i think best way is NOT a global parameter as this cause problems in sites that want both behaviors !!, the correct way is to use an ACL action

i ll add this in current RC9, as i understand the importance-need of it
