Hello -

I have set my image field to folder type.
I set the relative path as images/thumbnails
In my import I just have the image name, e.g. thumb.jpg

However, when I import I don't see an image.
Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

FLEXIcontent has various fields

For image field this is not yet supported/implemented,

we will add support to v2.0.1a if no complications arise (just note that the file will have to be placed manually to correct folder, for "DB mode" it is the folder set in parameters, for "Folder mode" it is the sub-folder "item_id_field_id/original)

v2.0.1a will be tomorrow (UTC+0) if no bugs are reported today

Regards

OK -

I am confused.

What is the best way to show an image per article? My articles are actually a short bit of text and then a plugin to show a video using S3MediaStream. That works great. Now I want to show an image in the listing views. Basically a thumbnail I made for each video.

Do I use DB Mode? File Mode? or is there some other field that will work?

Thanks again for the help and the great work.

Hello ,
a lot of options already exist for CSV import, we plan to offer a simplified import (end-users) and the current import view will be meant for developers.

(Note that initially the CSV Import view was meant to support a lot less features than it does not of course everything can have more features)

To give you a short answer importing images will be more user friendly in future, currently is not supported. At least not supported in a usable / user friendly way.

Please import your data

and then edit each item to add your images, prefer to set image-gallery field in "Folder mode" if you images are not resused among items

Regards

Well that is kinda of problematic with a couple thousand records but we will do what we have to do.

Maybe I can figure it out with some SQL magic.

Anyway, don't forget to include that import fix you gave me yesterdayin the updates.

And again..., thanks for the amazing support and product!

couple thousand records ?

hmmm

our idea of importing images is this (future verison):

provide a parameter to specify image folders,

and the import process will copy image files from this folder, but i want to ask what you had in mind? you see the image-gallery field in Folder mode creates this subfolder to store original images:

item_id_field_id/original

How do you imagine/think/suggset of importing images?
