hello

I need some help about managing publication date inside the universal module.

I think I have mixed end of publication date and archive date.

My need :
As told in a previous post each article has a beginning and end publication date.
In one universal I need to display all published article in default mode. Once an article has reached the end publication date he cannot be displayed anymore by this module.

In another universal module I need to display in select mode all articles which has been once published. I need to display even those which end publication date has been reached (I thougth it was archived articles).

My error is to consider end of publication date = archived status.

my question to try to solve the problem : is it possible to automatically change the status of an article ; once end of publication date reached the article is considered as archived.

Another way to solve my problem would be to have the availibity do have in the status select the value end of publication reached (doesn' exist presently).

I have tried to use the date scope parameter. In this case my articles have only a begenning of publication date but no end of publication.
I want to display the articles during one month.
SO I have give from date as string static, to date as string static
from = -1 m
to : empty (I want today).

date type : Publish up
compare with current item date.

I get all article published even those than have a publication older than 1 month.

Can you help me solve my problem

thank you very muchg

best regards

Michel

maybe this
extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... hive/21685
or this
extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... hive/22476
test it for flexicontent compatibility
regards

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello,

-- I see that one of the above is very capable and rather cheap,
but you may have problem with items being in FLEXIcontent special "workflow" states

e.g. in FC an item is published in state 'In progress', so your items are better off being in 'published' (state==1) for this to work and not in 'In progress' (state==-5)

-- we have some basic code in flexicontent system plugin, to automatically set items to 'archived' state and clear 'publish_down' date

just this is was never committed to the CORE, do you want plugin files:
flexisystem.php and flexisystem.xml
to try it?

Regards

Thank you
I have tested the first one (end of publication date over) the article is automatically tagged as archived one.

I have not tested the other one.

sorry the precedent mail is the answer to Micker.

I am OK to test the Flexicontent plugin flexisystem.php and flexisystem.xml

Just tell me how to install them.

Shall this plugin JOOMLA 3 compatible when Flexicontent will be J3 compatible ?

The Chanse plugin tested is only V.5 compatible and I think I will need this fonction also when FC will be J compatible.

thank you

best regards
