Relation field as a search filter [Solved]

Hi,

Is it possible to have a relation field as a search filter?

I have added 2 types, publications and authors. I also have a category for each type. For the publications, I have a relation field to pick the authors. When I list the publications, I'd like to be able to filter them by authors.

it is a new powerful field that does maybe a different thing

- in item form you can create automatic relations between items, it is done by setting a set of filters
... filters are displayed in item form

e.g.
-- relate to current item all items that have
field value 'value1' for field no 25
AND
field value 'value2' for field no 27
AND
etc

as item are created the related items are automatically updated when an item

I already have a relation field created for the publications where I can pick authors from items that are in the author category. That works good, everything good so far.

When I list the publications, I have the option to add filters. That works good too. What I'd like is to add another filter for the authors from the relation field.

you want to list the items that are related to a specific item?

effectively such a filter would display for relation field would display item titles ?
