filter authors need your help

With your help i created a type,category and a template for presenting bet picks in my site which is currently under construction.As you see in the screenshot i have a fileld tipsters.I want to be able to choose somehow a tipster and show only this tipster's bets.I need to make 4 subcategories 4 types and 4 templates for them or i should do something else.Should i relate this field tipster somewhere?I am la little confused.Author is not the same as tipster.Perhaps an author can write articles for all these 4 tipsters so i want to filter somehow all bets from one tipster.I hope you understand my question.Thank you again for your help.Kind regards.Mike

Hello

in fields manager find the field "Tipster" and enable in it the "Filterable" property,
then in component permissions enable , inside "Lists: Filtering" TAB , search for parameter "Display filters"

- all fields marked as "Filterable" will be shown but in each category you may select to show some of them
- in the field configuration inside the "Filtering" TAB you can select to show filter as drop-down-select or as radio or as other, and configure other relevant options

ok i managed to do it with filters but if for example i want to link each tipster inside the category table view so if a user clicks to the author-tipster he can see only his articles.Or for example if i want to to add the author in a menu item how can i do it in order to have one menu for each author?

is "tipster" owner of the item ? (aka author "created by" user) ?

if so you can use (create in fields manager) the field "Author items" to link to the items of an author

Tipster is diferrent than the author.Perhaps one author give tips for all 4 tipsters so the tipster is other field than the author so i cannot use author items
