"Update temporary item data" will not update

I rebuilt my entire site from scratch because I was getting this error message. "Update temporary item data" - Update

I click the "Update" button and that is successful (green checkmark) then click the Refresh link or F5, and it never updates.  It always drops back to the update state.  How can I fix this?  I don't want to have to rebuild my site a third time just because of this.  All of my site permissions are correct. Thanks.

I had the same. And after a reinstall and doing something (I guess updat PHP 8.013 and Joomla 4.2.x) it disapeared. I don't know exactly what did. Now i often get the message and after cicking on it and refresh I can use the site,

replace this file (unzip first) in administrator/com_flexicontent/

If I understand correct Unzip flexicontent download and then move flies from the unzipped folder administrator/com_flexicontent/ to the website folder

Before I do this, what will it do? I mean, what are the inherent risks of replacing the existing file with this one?  I'm just wary of adding stuff to my production sites and not having them work afterward without really knowing that I'm doing or what it does.

its a small workarround i disable temporary item checking in post install. Its no problem to do this but use this only if you have this error

Thanks for this workaround, it helped me, too (J 4.2.6 / FC 4.1.3 / Php 8.1.14).
Will this updated admin-FC-controller be included in one of the next automatic FC-installers? I would feel a little awkward changing the file manually in 50 websites.
