Search and Alphaindex have not result, nothing happens..

The following problem occurred:
I set in the category, view the search field and the alpha index.
But neither the search or the selection of a letter show a result (nothing happens).
If I delete the cache it works perfekt but exactly one time.
Then no response until I delete the cache back again.

mmm , alpha index never worked with caching with versions prior to v1.5.6 right?

For v1.5.6, i had fixed the alpha index not working when cache is enabled by appending the letter to the URL, a couple of months ago.

Are you using the latest standard FLEXIcontent templates of v1.5.6?

If the above code is not inside your template category_alpha.php, then you are not using the latest template.

If it still does not work with the standard templates, post back and i will check to fix within next week.

ALSO if you click letter again second or third time , does it work?

The problem was the template. I use 5 own (copies from the default template).
When updating the Flexicontent Version thy were not overwritten by new files.
I have now copied the new files manually into the different template directories.
The Alphaindex now works perfect,
but the search was still a small phenomenon:

- If all entries are displayed an input is ignored in the search box, nothing happens
- If i change now in the Alphaindex a Letter e.g. 'L' and then i enter a search term, the search is performed and the results displayed.

But, then the 'reset button' dosn't work (the entry can also not manually delete)
and in the the Alphaindex i can not select 'all' .
Only when I now select a other Letters in the Alphaindex can I delete the entry in the search box
and perform a new search or again show the other entrys with 'All' .

Did you try to desactived gzip compression clean cache and retest ?
