can't edit categories

Flexiaccess lastest and use default rule
Joomla 1.5.23


Author can't edit category even enable manage category rule
call "You are not authorized to execute edit task on this asset. Please contact an administrator."

Can't use categories to filter in item view backend. it's show list of categories but in gray text like disable and can't select them


but Super Administator is work fine

Yes i have but i use other account "freewhitedove" to subscribes (1M) and get it passyear everything work fine until i upgrade flexicontent :oops:

I don't want to set everyone in Super admin mode and still need new feature :roll:

about editing categories
do your user have edit privilege in the categories that they need to edit?

No, my user does not know how to edit categories or privilege but i use my test account (same level and group) to testing

I try to create new group/ new author / and assign rule but still not work

You mean user has edit privilege to a category but he cannot edit it?

I install build 1486 and it's fixed.



Yes they have privilege but can't edit or manage category.

other problem

When create new authors it's not show in authors list but user show normally in joomla user manager.

the items column by default has a filter value, so that only users with one or more items, will be listed, so your new user is not listed because the user has no items

1. i will add a usability notice for this to warn of filter being active

2. When a new user is created we could change the value of the filter so that all users are shown, maybe do this too ? thinking
