Alpha Index with UTF-8

Hi,

I have set custom Alpha index for Japanese and created one sample item First alpha index button should be clickable. But It seems it doesn't work.

I am running Joomla 2.5.8 and FC r1601.
Please see the attached.

I am not sure if this is the case, (i don't know Japanese characters)
but did you set up the character aliases?

This is needed if some characters are similar
e.g for Greek the Alpha-Index Aliases parameter should be:

α~αά!!ε~εέ!!η~ηή!!ι~ιί!!ο~οό!!υ~υύ!!ω~ωώ

Meaning:

α is any of αά
ε is any of εέ
η is any of ηή
ι is any of ιί
ο is any of οό
α is any of αά
υ is any of υύ
ω is any of ωώ

Normally these belong to the language file e.g. for Japanese we do not have them,

Do you have Japanese translation of FLEXIcontent ?

all new translation strings are not yet translated, we will be contacting old translator to update them, some of translators are inactive , maybe because project was inactive of some time


Also, most inline description of (new) features are detailed but of course online documentation would be helpful, e.g. for new Alpha-Index we do not have

Recently, I have talked to micker to put me on Japanese Translation in Transifex and I would love to do some work for FC as much as I can even if my mother tongue is not Japanese.

Anyway, I am testing AI in Japanese but it is too complicated for me because they use 3 different groups of characters e.g. Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji as well. :roll:

I will post it here once I am done.

I see i mentioned translation because i thought it was your native language or you have a high level of speaking it, we will be contacting all existing translators, just we will work out a couple of things about transifex first
