Hi,
I have a site migrate from J2.5 / FC 2.x to J3.6 / FC3.1.0RC2

I have no message of any error but :
- if i list my items, i can see that items are stored in my different categories.
From the item list, if i click on the category, i can open it, modify it, etc..
- if i list now the category, i have only 2 categories : 2 times "Uncategorised".

For the migration, i copy the tables from the previous FC and update with the last FC.

What can i do to resolve this ?
Thanks for the help,
Xavier

Hi again,
Connect again to the site, i have now a new message !
Post installation :
Create DB indexes
# tables: 1 :
flexicontent_fields_item_relations (2 indexes missing)
Click on the button and get :

Multiple primary key defined SQL=ALTER TABLE `#__flexicontent_fields_item_relations` ADD INDEX value(`value`(32)), ADD PRIMARY KEY(`field_id`, `item_id`, `valueorder`, `suborder`)

I don't know if that's linked.

A solution i could try : recreate all the categories and reassign the items to each categories. This could solve the problem i guess, but i would like to understand if this is a migration issue or FC issue or both...

Thanks :)

FlexiContent is using Joomla categories and items. So if you only take the FC tables all the information about the categories are lost!

Hello

i will make new installation to test the upgrade from v2.x

For the DB-index issue
1. please log to phpmyadming
2. click on table: flexicontent_fields_item_relations
3. go to TAB "structure"
4. click "indexes"
5. find primary index , select it and delete it
6. go back to the site and login to backend ...

Hi Georges,
I did what you said.
When i go back to admin, FC tell me to create index in tables (2 times).
I did it and FC start normally.
The thing is nothing is changed on cats : nothing more than the "uncategorised" category is shown in the cat list, even if items are correctly linked to the categories. If i click on a cat in the item list, it open the cat normally.
I thing i'm going to migrate the all site from scratch : it will be quicker.

Thanks :)
Xavier
