About using format {{fieldname##value}} in fieldgroup custom HTML parameter

About using format {{fieldname##value}} in fieldgroup custom HTML parameter was created by despair

Before update, I select the select field type to show value in frontend. But after update it, the option change to show label infrontend.

If I need to change all select field type's frontend option, it really a trouble.

Hello

do you mean the parameter "Frontend display"in fields

select / selectmultiple
checkbox / checkboximage
radio / radioimage

?

with options:
value , label, etc

Hello

i looked at it, if the parameter is not set

the default is
- show label for select / selectmultiple / radio / checkbox
- show image for radioimage / checkboximage

which is looking correct

i will check if we have changed parameter name compared to v3.1.1

I change the default parameter to value.
after update, the parameter auto change to label.

1. you mean that you edit the parameter
and after doing "Apply and Reload" the parameter is changed to "Label" ?

2. also what is the exact type of the field e.g. is it

selectmultiple ?
radioimage ?
other ?

3. also are you using a custom layout inside /tmpl/ ? e.g.
.../selectmultiple/tmpl/value_mycustom.php

I find out it's my mistake.
the really problem is the fieldgroup's custom HTML.
I use {{sectionimageposition##value}} to show the field value, but after update to FC3.2 the frontend output show the label not the value.

and the sectionimageposition field is a select type field.

I try to find the language parameter in falang, after I update to FC3.2 the FC filed can not be finded in falang.

you can only use "display" variables there

for most fields it is either:
{{sectionimageposition}}
or
{{sectionimageposition##display}}

e.g. for image field:
{{imgfield}}
or
{{imgfield##display}}
or
{{imgfield##display_small}}
or
{{imgfield##display_medium}}
or
{{imgfield##display_large}}

see the description of the parameter
