PDF Stamping

2 years 1 month ago #73043 by mauriciocgpereira@gmail.com
When I was searching for some tutorials I came across a feature "PDF Stamping".

Is it possible to use this to insert a "watermark" in downloaded pdf's?

For example, for the project I'm developing with flexicontent there's a field that pretends to be a PDF that registered users can download. But the downloaded pdfs must have in the bottom the user's email.

Is it possible to achieve this? If so, how?

Thanks

Hello

so, in file field
did you configure the parameters inside :

Viewing TAB /
File Actions TAB /
PDF Stamping TAB

Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

I didn't test it, I was only asking if what I said was possible with that thing "PDF Stamping", because if it wasn't I wouldn't waste time (I crossing deadlines in project!).

Is it possible?

Thanks

Hello

(although it maybe possible to implement such a thing in the future)

the PDF stamping feature will add a header and / or footer in every page
it will not add a background watermark to the page

Sorry, but what I really meant is not quite a watermark but inserting in the bottom of the page the email address of the user that is downloading the file. Is it what it means with PDF stamping?
Thanks

yes
but the PDF stamping currently has specific replacements
{{current_date}}
%%language_string%%

i imagine adding more like other field value replacement and current user's email is desirable
but first please test current option of PDF stamping is working for you
