Autor view + Autor Item - 2 Bugs | List of Authors

Hello, we are thinking in creating a new simple Portfolio alike site, similar to what behance.com does. So each Author has it own page and its own portfolio of projects.

As usually we want to do this with FC. So To test the Author's and FC configuration this is what I did.
1 - I have created a new user called DEMO.
2 - Created a new Category + Content Type called: Authors.
3 - Created 2 new fields: Thumbnail + Website and link to the Author Content Type.
4 - Create a new item in the Author called: DEMO.
5 - Open the DEMO user in FC backend and link the DEMO user to the DEMO article
At this point I have 1 Author/User with 1 item linked to it
6 - Create one menu item Author type and link to DEMO. Open the link and I am in the author page as it is suppose to be. Know I need to add the extra fields Thumb and Website to this Author.
7 - Create a module and add the 2 custom fields + description and scope it, I wanted to only show items from the authors category and there is no place to scope items that are CONNECTED to the author.
8 - So I thought if I change the Item DEMO in the Authors category so that the user DEMO is that actual Author and not me, I could in the module scope by ONLY CREATED BY THIS AUTHOR. ***Here is the problem*** This does not work. I cannot scope this: show all items in the category Authors and only created by current Author.

Resume: I want to have an Author page where each Author can have its own portfolio. But the Author has 5 extra fields. How can I do this?

The second bug:
1 - I want to create a module where I can list all Authors. The only solution I found was to scope the Authors category but the URL instead of linking to the Author view it links to the item view. I expected to respect the LINK that I made in the back-end where you can connect an Author to an item.

Also there is no category view to list all Author - benefits, pagination, etc

you mean bug or limitations?

First 2 are bugs and the 3rd is limitation.

Example of the bugs:
1 - How can I do this with FC: demo.getk2.org/site/itemlist/use ... than-smith - In this page you have the AUTHOR page with the list of items that this AUTHOR had create. Notice the Extra field WEBSITE.

2 & 3 - How can I do this with FC:
demo.getk2.org/#k2ModuleBox104 - This is the module/category "list of Authors" we don't have that I think. The link in this module should open the Author page.

-- first, FLEXIcontent (universal Content) module is not aware yet of "items" assigned as "author description items" to authors

-- and we do not have list of authors in FLEXIcontent (universal Content) module


These do not need too much work but we will need some time to implement.



But author view works (or did you find some bug?):

1. Did you try the author view menu item?

2. Since you create a Content Type of "Author" you can assign any number of field to this content Type "Author" aka these will be used to describe the author!

3. You assign an item layout to this Content Type "Author" and the go to template manager AND add the fields, did you do this?

There are a few steps we didn't do. Let us try first.

About the 2 missing features. Just wanted to make sure they didn't exist

1. You can create list of authors ...

just create a list of the Category that contains the author description items !!!

2. You will just need to create a field that links to the author view of each author.

a. set every description item to be owned by each user
