Menu association error

Hi, I have the following situation. I have two menu items assigned to the same article. The article is German and associated to an English article. Also the menu items are associated to each other. I have the following unexpected behaviour (please use language switching).

Right: www.muenstermann.com/en/conveyin ... -wool.html

Wrong: www.muenstermann.com/en/conveyin ... -wool.html

As you can see, for the second link the menu item link switches incorrectly. It should be: www.muenstermann.com/de/foerdert ... wolle.html

Hello,
in your original post the "right" and "wrong" urls are the same you copy-pasted them wrongly right?

anyway i think that i understand the issue,
you are saying that the item association is used !
but a menu association exists and it should take priority , right?

-- FLEXIcontent code if the current menu points to the current displayed item, if it is then the menu item associations takes priority and thus it is used,
but if the menu item does not point to current item e.g. the menu item is a category menu item then the item association takes priority and thus gets used.

I think the above is working correctly (i mean the correct item is display right?) and the problem is with SEF URL routing , right?

Hi, sorry for the late response. I just have not seen that you answered, because I have been travelling quite a lot lately. Actually, both (right and wrong) point to an item.

If you go here:
www.muenstermann.com/en/conveyin ... -wool.html

The correct menu association is
www.muenstermann.com/de/foerdert ... wolle.html

But language switching shows:
www.muenstermann.com/de/anwendun ... echte.html

So, the same item is linked in the same menu to different parent menu items and the Joomla menu association is ignored.
