We have strugling with clients becouse of the front end submission, the problem is just that we dont want to give them acess to the backend becouse there is just to many features and toogles that the client had to learn.

By using front end submision we simplify so much the process and we even dont have to give the client documantation of how to use it becouse is easy but there 2 things that we need.

1 - A list table with all the articles similiar the items in the backend
2 - The order field in the front end. in the fron end the users cannot control the order of the articles.

we have tried the component MYFLEXYCONTENT but it does not work.

PLease consider thanks.

The problem is that we have set an order as ORDER so this means the backend order correct?

The client in the fronend cannot change the order becouse they dont have the ARROWs for up and bottom.

There is a new FLEXIcontent menu item called "my item" , you can use this to display a list of item of the user(author).

You want to declare an initial display order in this?
or you want to user to be able to reorder items?

mmm, we don't have these in the frontend.

FLEXIcontent with FLEXIaccess can limit the view of the backend to just articles the user owns

PLEASE NOTE, i am not developer of FLEXIaccess, but i use it

Hi algardata,
with FLEXImycontent from CMSPlugin.com default it's allow publisher level ordering items on frontend and if you have FLEXIaccess installed you also custom set permission who can order the item. (FLEXImycontent support FLEXIaccess)

BTW : you can get support FLEXImycontent from CMSplugin.com :)

Hi Algardata,
Did you mean FLEXIMyContent from www.cmsplugin.com ?

If 'yes', you can ordering the items by edit file [site com_fleximycontent]/helpers/permission.php line 64 like this:

$permission->CanOrder = ($user->gid>=21);

21 is group id of the 'Publisher', if you login as the 'Publisher' group, you will be able to ordering the items. If you need the 'Editor' able to ordering the items , you can edit this value to be 20.

Please see table #__core_acl_aro_groups in addition.

We have a subscription of FlexyMyContent,
the problem is that we don't know if the company behind it will keep up with all flexi updates.

Since 1.5.4 that flexi have been having so much contribution so many bug fixes and new features.

I want to make sure that FlexyMyContent will keep up with the updates.

I will try your suggestion and see if it works.

Thanks guys.
