Add backend field preview formatter plugin for items list

Hello.
We need to preview if some items have filled some extra fields values.
We can add them in backend managers.
But when these fields have too much data, it looks bad in the items list.



So, we need to truncate data.



Ok, now we can do it with the new plugin:
1. Truncate
2. Strip HTML Tags and truncate
3. Replace any data with Checkmark.

hello its an interessing proposal but i didn't think it a good way
adding this option peer field is more flexible
1 adding a global function in flexicontent render for backend
2 add options display in global config
3 add options display in each field for overriding
adding a plugin for all isn't a good way for me

This was a quick solution to implement a non-existent feature.
Many things wait months or even years to be implemented in FC.
Regarding your suggestion.
As far as I can see, there are currently no options in the field settings to display the settings in the admin panel.
Is that correct?
Can you describe in more detail how it should work? I will try to do it according to your scenario.
In any case, I believe you agree that this is a useful feature. This is clearly visible in the video from my first post.

that i mean :
step 1
- adding options to manage display in flexicontent global configuration > tab backend manager > items manager  :  github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexicontent-cck...ter/admin/config.xml
- adding same options in item manager  tab > items manager github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexicontent-cck...odels/forms/item.xml
- adding same options in each field adding a new tab > display in backend
step 2 
- adapt your plugin or move inyour code in new methode

The result will be better :
- via global config you can manage all
- via item you can manage by type display
- via field you can override and adapt for specific field content

not only some config all fields without context
