Image in category-block was created by xmac

I have read this problem for a long time, but I can't find it, I use FC 155 and Joomla 1.5.23, when I have no Image in any item, then an undefined imagefield is shown in the category-block-view. What can I do?

Please clarify what you mean, you are saying, a warning is ?printed? if none of the items in current page of the category view have any images?

Can you clarify and copy paste the warning here?

No, I have defined an imagefield, when an item has an image, then this will shown in the category-view, when there is no image in the item, no image should be seen, but a red box is shown with the text "Error messages disabled". This box has the defined with and on mouse-over, there is the tooltip read more about ...
