Featured article

Hi there !

since a few, I have no idea why, I have 3 articles in my homepage which shouldn't be there. It seems that featured was activated and didn't pop untill now. But now it pops on first page... why .. no idea..

anyway I desactivated featured option and articles are still there. clear cache.. no change still there..

how can I filter flexicontent items to check if some article is still sa featured ?!

good idea... speaking about updating, I am in share hosting, so, it's always comlicated to update as obviously I cannot let 777 rights to all files....

Untill now, I downloaded web, upgrading on my own server, the uploading.... quite a mess....

do you think I just can replace file by FTP or upgrading means affects too on database ? first case would be easier to manage ! what do you think ?

You can ftp installation
UPload all file in tmp folder and use this option in extention manager ... dont override by ftp..

ok I always thought that joomla unzipp in /tmp and then update files (which does not work as per permission issues...). then, I'll try to upload on tmp and install.

for some strange reason, (i don't rarely use the word strange)
the usage of featured flag is broken when being updated by FLEXIcontent, and we need to investigate this

If you say that you have a problem, then this means that you use com_frontpage for your Frontpage ?

A solution would be to use FLEXIcontent for your frontpage:

ok I just changed my home type by flexicontent one, saved, rollback to favorite >> it works. seems that it cleared issue !
