[SOLVED] How to fully delete articles

I created some articles and categories with FlexiContent and later went to delete them. However, it seems that I can not get the articles fully deleted no matter what I do -- even though they showed up as being "deleted" in both the flexicontent item manager and the joomla article manager. No articles show up in either of these places (item manager or joomla article manager). However, when I try to erase certain categories using the joomla category manager, it says that the articles are still present and must be deleted. I have also purged the trash using the joomla trash magare, and I have also cleared the cache, but nothing seems to work. Whenever I try to delete the categories, Joomla tells me there are still articles in them.

Is there something having to do with the binding process that Flexicontent employs that might be relevant here? I need a way to clear out these articles from my joomla system. I have already uninstalled FlexiContent, but that did not help. (I will reinstall once the problem is cleared up.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I resolved the problem. Stupid mistake on my part. I did not realize there were two trash managers in joomla -- one for menus and one for articles. I was using only the menu trash manager by mistake. Oops. Thanks for a great product!!

I have a similar problem.
I created some test articles, and deleted them in the backend.
In the frontend, items still show as being Unpublished, but editable.
In the backend, they are not visible in Unpublished, and not in Trashed.
How to permanently delete these?
