I changed template to standard (protostar) and all been fine. May be some CSS class in my template not set? What class is responsible for the icons?

Hello

You can use your current Joomla template,

Just to manually load icomoon CSS (and thus get the icons) in frontend:

Add to the index.php of your joomla template:
Code:
$doc = JFactory::getDocument(); $doc->addStyleSheet($this->baseurl.'/media/jui/css/icomoon.css');

We do not load by default because some templates may have a replacement for these,

NOTE for next version we have added a new configuration option to do the above without editing the Joomla template
