Files downloads in current tab and links opens in new tab.

But I found strange bug.

I have custom layouts in field template folder and I use value_InlineBoxes2.php:



But in field setting this template does not displays:



In spite of this, the field uses exactly value_InlineBoxes2.php

May be it because this setting was saved in DB before.

you are looking at the wrong configuration TAB

field_inlineBoxes.php is for Item form
value_inlineBoxes2.php is for Item view

Go to the viewing TAB and you will see that "inlineBoxes2" is showing and it is also selected

for a few fields we have added layouts for item form too

field_*.php for Item form

value_*.php for Item view

in general you should avoid overriding item form layout,
as unlike viewing, they is some risk for a future changes breaking them
