How to sort items in category? [SOLVED] was created by xmac
I have listed all items of a category and try to sort them as the newest first, but when I chose standard-sort, my items are sorted alphabetical. What can I do?

In the Category go to the area on the right-hand side which is titled "Parameters layout common" and change primary order to "newest first"

That works for me.

but I can't find Newest first, the only I see is Oldest first.

Actually the drop-down list says "Most Recent First".

If that doesn't work, maybe someone else could chime in?
