Hello everyone,

i have a problem using the flexicontent with joomla breadcrumb.

when i clicked an article which from a category "Company" (cid=11) , the joomla breadcrumb show: "home > news > article", and not "home > news > company > article".

but if i clicked a category and then an acticle, the breadcrumb show "home > news > company > article", which is the right one.

i have tried to find out the problem, and i can see the article CID is 10 in the url, which is root level (news), can anyone please help about this?

i have attached a image for clearance, the image is captured from the root level (news) and not category level.

Many Thanks! Any help are appreciated.

yuewupostbox, you must make MENU ITEMS to each category of flexi if you want control breadcrumbs.

after creating menu item see in it properties "level" or something (i use Russian version so not sure)
change this value (its digit, so try 1 or 2 or 3...) and see how it corresponding to breadcrumbs

Hello effrit,

i have tried your solution but it didn't fix the problem,

i have a Menu Item "News", which is using Menu Item Type "flexicontent - category" and pointed to News category,

In News Category(root), i have 4 sub-categories(nodes) with some articles inside.

CID

news - 10
A sub cat - 11
B sub cat - 12
C sub cat - 13
D sub cat - 14

the problem is, in my news page, i have a table with the categories' CID inside the link(URL) are correct, but the articles' CID inside the link(URL) are not correspond with the category CID,

news-company-article URL

index.php?option=com_flexicontent&view=items&cid=10:news&id=12:grand-opening&Itemid=2&lang=en

news-company-category URL

index.php?option=com_flexicontent&view=category&cid=11:company&Itemid=2&lang=en

the CID in news-company-article URL should be 11(company) and not 10(news).

do i using in a wrong way?

i repeat - make menu items for EACH category.
so in menu you must have 4 submenu item with different level (the properly i write above)compared to "news"

Hello effrit,

thank you and i have made 4 sub-menu items in News Menu item with correct level,

but my Table in News page, the article URL cid is still 10 (News), and not corresponding cid of the articles, my ideas is not showing sub menu item from news page, which mean end user can only click on the article URL and category are display only in a table.

i have attached a screenshot for you reference.

i appreciated your help. :D
