new flexicontent items: pre-fill some fields?

hi there,

i'm wondering if the following is possible:

create links in the backend the lead to the new-item-screen, but also select the item type and category by parameter?
so that my client sees buttons like "create new event", "create new catalog item",...

i'm aware of the mod_flexicontent_quick_icons, but in order to pimp that i need to know if and what i can additionally pass to the link '[...]/administrator/index.php?option=com_flexicontent&view=item[~~~type=mytype&cat=mycat~~~]'

is there any way to accomplish that?

do you try to use quick custom icone for flexicontent ?

could create a link to a new FC-item with a link like this:
http://{mydomain.com}/administrator/index.php?option=com_flexicontent&view=item#

BUT unfortunately flexicontent needs to apply (save) any new item first before that item becomes a certain item-type and item-category.
maybe there is any way to prepare or mode above FC-url to achieve that without those in-between-steps?
