Search returns results only for full words

Hey all,

I've been using FLEXI for some time, and its a great components, but every time i'm installing it on a new site i have issues with the search.

while searching for part of a word there are no results.
search results shown only when submitting full word.

in article created with FLEXI there is a word "flexicontent",
searching for a string "flexi" gets 0 results,
searching for "flexicontent" gets the article as result

no SEO components/plugins,
only FLEXIContent Search plugin enabled,
there are several menulinks to a category, published and unpublished.

ideas?

actualy it's normal the search fonction is basic (for performance site)

but still, if i want the search to work on part of the search string i'd have to core change the flexi plugin?

because if using ajax search module its better when suggestions comes with part of the word

You can make your own flexisearch plugin.

Copy-Paste, Rename and adapt it.

For now, the flexisearch plugin uses MATCH... AGAINST in the query, you can try with a LIKE %..% (but for performance, i think it's not the best way)
