News items

I'm using FlexiContent 2.0 with Joomla 1.7.

I'm trying to create a news section on my site, and I'm using mod_flexicontent to do that. I have a page showing a list of pages from a specific category. However, the links to the pages are wrong — it takes me to e.g. /component/flexicontent/189-news-intra/554-news-itemItemid=103, where it should just take me to /intra/news/news-item/

How can I make it create SEF URLs for the news items? Would that require a menu item for each news item? Is it possible to have it automatically create a menu item in e.g. FlexiContent Hidden Menu within the structure?

There are 2 SEF/URL related parameters in Global options to append a "default" menu itemid to the items and other FLEXIcontent URL, that don't have one (don't have a menu item pointing to them).

Test with these options (read popup help), to find what fits your needs.

Okay, that did some of it — however, it still appends the category title to the URL — is there any way to have it only show the article title? It also adds the item ID in the beginning of the item name in the URL.

If it is somehow possible, can I add the month and year the item was posted to the URL? Would be sweet if I could create a news archive.

What I have now: domain.com/news/189-news-intra/579-news-title

What I'd like: domain.com/news/2011/11/news-title

Also, is it possible to include the intro text when I view the full news item?

For the date stuff, or for removing the category? (or both?)

The SEF urls that are produced by FLEXIcontent include category and item alias , to have different URLs it maybe possible with some SEF component, not sure though.
