Okay, I'll just have to live with that for now then. Is it possible to view the full item when you click on the link? Right now it cuts away the intro text.

About showing / hiding intro text in the item view, the behavior is like standard joomla article manager:

There is a parameter 'Show intro text' (Yes/No):
1. in FLEXIcontent global options (in the 'Items configuration' section)
2. and in every item a same option to override the global one.

These parameters control the appearance or not of Intro-Text in the item view
