Preview for unpublished items? was created by mpearl

Logged into the Admin console, after saving an unpublished item, the preview button appears - but takes you to a 404 error page. Is this a bug? If not, is there a way to hide the preview button when an item is not published?

Joomla 2.5 version - r1420

mmm, we add auto-login to the URL,

but this code is not working in J2.5,

i am thinking:
maybe redirect to login page, and after login the user will be automatically presented with preview page

In r1444, we have patched the FLEXIcontent code for J2.5 to make autologin work:
