Hi,

I have a strange problem. Sometimes if a page is not available I don't get an 404 error instead the page shows I think a directory view of all categories. Have a look here: www.muenstermann.com/entstaubung ... ormen.html

The link links to an old article that is not longer available. This happens for many non existing links!

You don't mention your settings for section "Redirections Configuration" in FLEXIcontent Global Configuration.

If i remember correctly, the access level is and must be checked AFTER the not available cases (not found, unpublished, expired, scheduled), but i will confirm this

Please check URLs for:
1. If access level of page is not allowed to public, and user is not logged, then they are directed to a preconfigured "login URL"

2. If access level of page is not allowed to public, and user is logged, then they are directed to a preconfigured "not allowed URL"

It does not matter if I set show unauthorized links to yes or no or what pages I put in. The directory view is always shown.

Actually you can type anything behind

www.muenstermann.com/entstaubungsanlagen/ (which is a real page)

like

www.muenstermann.com/entstaubung ... fasfasfwew

or

www.muenstermann.com/entstaubungsanlagen/ggppdk

I just tried it with the other page I am using FlexiContent. The same. The when you put something behind a real page

www.servoflo.com/pressure-sensors/

like

www.servoflo.com/pressure-sensors/asdadade

it gives you the directory view. Different hoster, different template!

I just remembered that we had this before: www.flexicontent.org/forum/index ... =viewtopic . It never got solved and I forgot about it!

Another example. I just copied a page from one of my fellow forum members that he gave in a thread:

Page:
www.uninternet.org/web7.0/index . ... del-mundo/

Directory view
www.uninternet.org/web7.0/index . ... ndo/dewdwe

I mean the whole thing is kind of an issue. I had a relaunch of our homepage and some links changed. So Google now points to the directory view and doesn't give an error. In addition if an entry (category) does not have a menu link the path of the link in the directory view is non existent and broken!

From the URLs i can say that this is not a FLEXIcontent issue, just you installation is redirecting any not found URL to

www.muenstermann.com/?option=com_flexicontent

which is legitimate URL for FLEXIcontent, so FLEXIcontent code has no reason to raise a 404 error,

in short this behavior you describe IS NOT controlled by FLEXIcontent,
and there is nothing we can do for it,

check the configuration of your site / SEF component (if you have a third party installed)

e.g. test with the not found URL for FLEXIcontent and you will see that FLEXIcontent code will raise a 404 Error:

www.muenstermann.com/blablabla/ ? ... y&cid=5555

www.muenstermann.com/blablabla/ ? ... m&cid=5555

I haven't installed any SEF component. Only the FlexiContent router. Please have a look at my last post. It is also happen at a page of a total stranger.

I took another page which was posted here in one of the threads:

Page:
bongos.wedesigntaipei.com/index.php/menu/burgers

Directory view:
bongos.wedesigntaipei.com/index . ... gers/wedwe

So, it might not be FC problem, perhpas it's a problem of routing!

Yes what i mean is that the links should not have been routed to FLEXIcontent,

you see this url:

index.php?option=com_flexicontent is valid for FLEXIcontent and will present the top level directory view

If you give me access to your site, i should be able to see what is happening
