-- and check the list of comments, are the old comments for various content listed there ?

You can send me a PM with admin login to review this,
also please provide a example of an FLEXIcontent item that has old comments that do not appear,
e.g. item 451 has 4 old comments (as seen in JComments backend) that do not appear anymore

Hello two examples both contain comments on the outside of the old news I see no comments.

There is new code to trigger the Content plugins Events

onAfterDisplayTitle
onBeforeDisplayContent
onAfterDisplayContent

but these will add com_content comments to the page,
as the result the existing com_flexicontent comments could not be added,

i have patched your site and now it is displaying com_flexicontent comments as before
