Hi,

At the moment i'm creating my own custom templates.

What is the better solution for single field output?

1:

Code:

<?php echo $this->fields['field23']->display; ?>

- working
or
2:

Code:

<?php echo $this->item->positions['subtitle_tab5']->field21->display; ?>

- also working

Im using the newest build of FC (r1487)

You can use the first method make sure the field is in the "renderonly" position so that it gets created (you see we do not create the display of fields that are not in a template position)
