Changing 1st and 2nd category when translating not working? was created by bobthebob01

Hi,

When i select an item of the main language to translate it, I change the primary and secondary category but FC does not respect it and duplicate the item with the same primary and secondary category of the original item.
even if you select "Keep secondary categories".

I'm still able to change it when i edit the translation afterward.

Initially it was done on purpose , but now i think that we should remove the limitation ...

Yes i think so.
In terms of user friendliness i would either remove that feature if it's to limit it, or remove the limitation and leave the option.

Personally,I would remove the limitation and leave the option. It makes more sense as it speeds up and facilitate the translation process. It's actually a nice little feature you made, let's make a good use of it.
