Per article language switching not working

Hi,
as I understood, enabling translation groups also makes article switching in the frontend. How do I set this up? I am using the in-built Joomla language system and have associated menu items that link to a FC category view. When I click on a single article there and switch I am redirected to the category view in the other language and not to the associated article!

To switch item translations you do not need multiple associated menu items, in fact using associated menu items with FC items translations may not work 100%

to enable / disable feature and it's debugging go to FLEXIcontent advanced Route SYSTEM plugin

test we will see if something need fixing / improving

Have you ever though about putting FC into the core? Only some enhancements and nobody needs a 3rd party component for translation anymore. Together with versioning and frontend publishing work flow and the CCK framework (not to forget ), FlexiContent adds the most missed feature to Joomla. Have yo ever talked to somebody from the core team?

Well this is exists in both J1.5 and J2.5, in forms/models/etc, but it is disabled for J2.5

in J1.5 it uses Joomfish , in J2.5 it uses Falang

i need to enable and test with Falang, but this only translates core fields

Akarawuth , (who is also project leader along with Emmanuel) , actively participates in Joomla conferences and talks with Joomla core people, i ll ask him what discussions he has done on the subject

Actually, just a small comment, I have to disable "Switch categories" in the FlexiContent router. Otherwise language switching does not work!

When viewing a FLEXIcontent item and the current menu item is a category menu item

THEN the CATEGORY SWITCHING should not be done , this is supposed to be detected by FLEXIcontent code !!!

i thought i have fixed verified it, i have opened a defect issue in bug tracker to retest !!!
